After 15 years of owning my own consignment business and meeting all of my Western New York neighbors and tourists just passing through, I sold the Red Barn Country Mall (also known as Bears Repeating, Julie's Store and Barn Mall) in Caneadea, NY at the beginning of 2008.

Beginning my next career as a New York State Realtor, I realized how much I missed my interactions with my customers, friends and acquantainces. Starting a new venture in 2008 came with much encouragement, support and talent from my family. I had been to many yard sales, garage sales, flea markets and swapmeets but had never found a swapmeet that was geared toward women.

Women know what they are looking for and it's usually in each other's homes or garages. So, instead of pulling together the annual neighborhood "stuff we'd rather throw out" sale, I've decided to put together a Swapmeet with all the right fixin's.

And so... the Girlfriends Swapmeet was begun with the 1st Summer Swapmeet (to be) held in July 2008 and another planned for October 2008.

You'll find junk, antiques, furniture, household items, jewelry and anything else your heart desires.

Bring your friends, cash and plan to stay all day.
