Happy weekend my fellow readers! I love hunting for free e-books and sharing them with you; however, this week it was slim pickins! I didn’t find as many truly intriguing books as I like to find, but the good thing about free e-books is that if you don’t enjoy the book after the first chapter (or even after the first few pages), you can easily delete it! Here are the books I found this week:
Child of the Mist is a highlands-style novel by Kathleen Morgan. I love to read books that are set in the British Isles during the fall and winter because of the dark, rainy descriptions. In the harsh Scottish highlands of 1565, superstition and treachery threaten a truce between rival clans. It’s a weak truce at first, bound only by an arranged engagement between Anne MacGregor and Niall Campbell-the heirs of the feuding families.
Daughters of Joy is book one of the Brides of Culdee Creek series. The series tells the story of Abigail Stanton, a young woman who recently lost her child and husband. Abigail moves out west to be a housekeeper.
