Where is Peace?

Peace on Earth.  Makes a nice Christmas card.  A good answer for your next beauty contest.

Wars.  Droughts.  Disease.  Addictions.  Do I really have to list them?  Peace on earth does not seem to be reality.

Not yet anyway.

But our world could use some peace.  Our homes could too.  And especially our hearts.  Isn’t peace the gift we’d all like to receive this Christmas?

Problem is…

  • You can’t buy peace at a store or order it up from Amazon.com.
  • You can’t create it with a DIY project on Pinterest.
  • You can’t share it via Facebook or Twitter.
  • You can’t stream it into your home through Netflix.
  • You can’t mix it up and bake it at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Nope.  Peace is something you can’t buy, yet someone DID pay the price for it and someone DOES offer it as a gift.

And you CAN receive it.

And this is why we celebrate.
